Board of Finance

The seven-member Board of Finance (BOF) establishes guidelines for all town departments, boards, and commissions to follow when preparing their annual budget requests. It holds in-depth hearings on annual budgets and considers appropriation requests throughout each fiscal year. The BOF is responsible for compiling an Annual Report of the Town, which contains summaries of the financial activities of every department, board, and commission during the year, as well as the status of their long-range fiscal planning and programs. The BOF also accepts and makes recommendations based on comprehensive outside audits of the town’s financial activities.
