Board of Finance

The seven-member Board of Finance establishes guidelines for all town departments, boards, and commissions to follow when preparing their annual budget requests, holds in-depth hearings on annual budgets, and considers appropriation requests throughout each fiscal year. The Board also compiles an Annual Report of the Town, which contains summaries of every dept, board and commission’s financial activity during the year as well as the status of their long-range fiscal planning and programs.  The board also accepts, and makes recommendations based on, comprehensive outside audits of the town’s financial activity.
